What does Suliscenti mean?
“Suliscenti" is a word used to name a house that gets the sunrise sun.
As you will confirm, this is one of the characteristics of our bed and breakfast.
In fact, the sun, an essential source of light, nurtures a comfortable inner environment, warm and well illuminated even during wintertime.
The sun rays also influence positively on the air quality of our B&B. For these reasons, our guests will enjoy wellness from the very early morning hours.
A time travel B&B
Suliscenti “Sicilian Dwelling” is an elegant and refined Bed and Breakfast located at “the heart” of the historical center at Avola: a strategic place for guests.
Moreover, it is precisely its location that facilitates the exploration and enjoyment of the nearby marvelous southeast Sicilian area.
Specifically, we propose the delightful Val di Noto area, renowned for its cultural and artistic heritage and its famous folkloric traditions and customs.
The location’s structure
The B&B is in a typical 1900s domestic dwelling. Built for a well-to-do gentleman from Avola for his own daughter’s wedding dowry; most recently, it has been recently carefully and concisely restored in its exterior, but even more detailed internally.
This magnificent guesthouse has five bedrooms, a spacious living room, a breakfast zone, and two airy and sunny balconies and terraces.
From these balconies the Iblei mountains and the Ionian Sea can be admired during the day.
Hospitality at Suliscenti
Courtesy, the typical Sicilian welcoming disposition, and the desire to places our guest are guaranteed for all guests. Probably even more, we would say, spoiled by the hosts, with the daily freshly-prepared breakfast which is home made just for you.
The Rooms at Suliscenti
The rooms named GRECALE, LEVANTE, SCIROCCO e LIBECCIO named after the quintessential Sicilian winds face the inner Cangemi courtyards or Corso Garibaldi.
They are furnished in an eclectic manner, a style that blends the antique elegance and the minimalist contemporary. Every detail is curated: from the hand embroidered linens to elegant ornaments in a refined search to please our guest and make you feel comfortable.
Spacious and sun-bathed, rooms are equipped with hair drier, toiletries, and a private bathroom. Each room is also provided with an a/c panel, free Wi-Fi, a flat 32” screen TV and a fridge bar.
